My favorite band is an an alternative and indie rock band by the name of Mae. While their discography up to 2007 was pretty much that, they have changed their music a bit since then, presumably because two of the original members went their separate ways. Their latest (November 2009) release is Seasons, and it’s a lovely 13 minute piano piece played by, I assume, Jacob Marshall (one of the two guys who started Mae). The band were releasing a song every month and sending profits to charity, but their van — containing all their instruments and gear — was stolen last year, so their plans have been put on hold for now.
I already liked them, but I also love solo piano and cello music, so now I love them even more. :)
